In May, Animals UK visited the academy to work with a number of Year 9 and Year 11 students, as well as those in the Animal Care group. Aspire Academy has continued to support the community of Hull in this very difficult year. Staff and students made a huge collection of groceries and toiletries to donate to a Hull foodbank operated by The Trussell Trust. At the end of term, staff and students added some festive fun to the learning experience. Sporting Christmas jumpers (and contributing £1 each), they worked in tutor group teams to create origami Christmas stars, construct and decorate gingerbread houses and create high quality Christmas cards.Continue Reading

In Enrichment lessons over several Friday afternoons, students in the Animal Care group designed and created a variety of animal themed products to sell within the Academy.
